Commercial Real Estate “SPIRE Award” Winners Announced
Inaugural SPIRE Awards Ceremony Attracts More Than 200 Industry Leaders
Orange County, Calif., March 6, 2012 – The winners of the inaugural “SPIRE Awards” program, recognizing superior achievements by men and women in Orange County commercial real estate, were announced on March 1, 2012 by the Commercial Real Estate Women, Orange County chapter (CREW-OC) at The Pacific Club before a crowd of more than 200 industry leaders.
Recognizing Superior Performance In Real Estate, the SPIRE Awards for work accomplished during 2011, were presented to:
Superior Performance in Construction Development:
Rod Hammett of Hensel Phelps Construction for the UCI Medical Center Replacement Hospital
Superior Performance in Leasing:
Louis Tomaselli of 360 Commercial Partners for the American Sports Center Expansiono
Superior Performance in Sales:
Kevin Shannon, Bob Smith, Paul Jones, Karen Scholte and Todd Tydlaska, all of CBRE, for the sale of the 2600 Michelson building
Superior Performance in Lending:
Tom Senske of Opus Bank’s Income Property Banking Division for 108 loans totaling $281.4 million
Superior Performance in Philanthropy:
Anza Vang of Hoag Memorial Hospital for spearheading the Share Our Selves rehabilitation project
Superior Performance in Philanthropy, In Memoriam:
Bob Campbell of CT Realty for his multiple philanthropic activities, including notable work in funding KIDWORKS and creating the Building Block Foundation
The awards were presented by Parker Kennedy, President of First American Title. Kerry Vandel, Director of the UCI Center for Real Estate, delivered the keynote address at the event.
